About

A passionate pupil of popular entertainment in India, posts his ‘dil se’ commentaries, reviews & tributes on movies, music, TV, legends, who knows, maybe even sports.

For a Tamilian, who grew up in Delhi during the 70s & 80s, I fell in love with Hindi, largely aided by the movies & music. And Doordarshan. But life kept bringing me back to South India, so managed to improve my exposure to Tamil movies & music too, even some Telugu & Malayalam ones.

Over my career, have had a chance to live & work across many cities in India – Hyderabad, Calcutta, Bombay, Delhi and now, Bangalore. And all along, I have been a copious consumer of popular entertainment & culture in this amazing potpourri called India.

For an engineer-MBA, who’s been on a sales & marketing career, it was during a significant stint in advertising that I stumbled upon my mojo, of expressing myself through writing.

It’s only because of my laziness & procrastination, that it’s taken me years to to start this blog. All thanks to my friends & family, who have kicked my butt to go beyond just sharing on Facebook & WhatsApp!

Why ramgadh.com?

Well, what can I say? That’s where I, Ram Prasad, meet the 1st movie I saw in the theatre (Sholay) – which converted me forever into a cinephile – it was at the ‘intersection set’ 🙂

Advance apologies to the fans for the cheat spelling – Ramgarh was already taken as a URL. So, konjum adjust maadi, please.

I aim to post here regularly – I guess, time will tell 🙂
